About Electric Pool Heaters
Filed under best weight loss programJul 10If you want to know more about electric pool heaters, then this article will be a good place to start. I’m going to give you good overview of these heaters, their pros and their cons, and give you a link to a site where you can find out more about them.
The electric pool heater uses a technology very similar to the way that air conditioning works. It is essentially a heat pump which means that it moves heat from one place to another stop
These heaters take three energy from the air that surrounds them, and use compression to extract that heat and put it into the water that is circulating from your pool. This means that you are not generating the heat, simply moving it from one place to the other, which is much cheaper.
When people look at buying an electric pool heater, one of the things that often puts them off is the high price. These are very expensive heaters to install when compared to gas powered heaters, but they are much much cheaper to run than a gas powered heater, which can cost up to $3000 a year to keep your pool warm.
Electric power heaters are much more economical, costing about half that price to run.
This is why it electric pool heaters pay for themselves in a short period of time. After this, they are saving you money all the way it often takes less than three years for them to become economical this way.
Under cold conditions, however, electric pool heaters do not perform anywhere near as well as propane heaters do. They can only make use of the heat that already exists in the air, and when the air is cold, it doesn’t have enough heat to warm your pool up to a nice comfortable temperature. When this happens, the heat from the heat pump is still valuable and prevents water from freezing, but it could be very unpleasant to swim in the water.
This leaves you with two different options. One of them is to install a very powerful heat pump which is capable of generating hot water all year round. Another option is to use a secondary heater such as a gas powered heater, which will only operate when the heat from the electric pool heater is not enough. This way, your heating bills will still be low compared to using a gas heater on its own.
