    The thing is… they are going about the problem entirely the wrong way! The truth is that you don’t lose stomach fat by doing ab workouts. This is not how to get flat abs.

  1. Great post! I totally agree both from a scientific stand point and a personal one. When I finally developed my flat belly it wasn’t with fancy ab exercises but with full bodyweight movements.

    Exercises that work the large muscle groups of the legs, upper and lower back, and chest give you the biggest metabolic bang for your buck in terms of abdominal fat loss. Doing them in superset or circuit form will boost metabolism which in turns burns belly fat.

    Bodyweight exercises like the squat, push up and mountain climbers will work wonders for your abs.
