    High blood pressure can strike anyone without warning, making it a silent killer. If left undiagnosed and untreated, the problem can lead to death. HBP is a condition that has to be taken seriously. It can lead to heart failure, kidney failure and stroke. There are two types of HBP. There is primary high blood pressure and there’s secondary hypertension. Both conditions are highly risky and must be treated. When the heart pumps blood through the arteries the force of the blood going through the walls of the arteries is regarded the blood pressure. When this pressure grows too high, it places not just the heart in jeopardy but other organs as well. Persistent high blood pressure is a very dangerous condition that is known to lead to heart attacks and several serous conditions.

    There are two numbers that are given that relay blood pressure. The top number is the systolic pressure. If this number is over 120 then the person is at risk of having high blood pressure. The bottom number is the diastolic pressure and shouldn’t be below a certain range. A doctor will explain to their patients the significant of these numbers for their particular reading.
