How Can I Keep Off the Weight I Lose Forever
Jul 19When you pose this question, how can I lose weight then following fad diets is not the solution if you are planning on keeping the weight off.
Fad diets are only temporary. If you want to lose weight forever and permanently then use a well balanced plan that will take you to your weight loss goals.
The one thing all fad diets have in common is, they are “diets”.
A pair of bell-bottom pants, in today and out tomorrow. The fad diets are all the craze for a while and then they end. Then, what happens, after a while they come back like a vicious circle when the fitness experts feel that we are ready to start up with them again. When you’re trying to burn body fat, you really should avoid these diets like the plague.
A lot of of you will lose a little weight at the beginning of these diets. When you lose weight at the onset of a fad diet, most likely you will also lose some muscle. If you lose muscle your metabolic rate will also be decreased and you will burn less fat and therefore lose less weight.
But the most discouraging part of fad diets is that almost all people who use these diets will gain the weight back, and then even more. Has this happened to you?
If you want to burn fat calories fast but you don’t want to gain the weight back then it is important to make small changes in your behavioral eating habits.
I need to keep the pounds off forever, this is most important for me.
One reason is the fad diets often recommend focusing too much on one type of food, like non-carbohydrate foods (meat and dairy only) or only carbohydrate foods (fruits and vegetables only). This kind of diet will lead to unhealthy eating habits.
You are greatly reducing the number of vitamins and minerals you eat when you just eat foods from one category. Your body requires certain vitamins and minerals and if you don’t get these vitamins and minerals it will lead to ill health and more health problems.
It is said that variety is the spice of life, and to have variety in the nutritious foods that we eat is also needed for good health.
Fad diets are too restrictive to be realistically followed, especially for a long period of time. They are not only unhealthy but these diets are also very difficult to stay on because they take away many of our favorite foods. If you remain on a rigid restrictive diet then you won’t be losing weight for very long.
Behaviroral changes in your eating habits is what will keep you on a pattern of weight loss and weight stabilization for the remainder of your life.
You see, the very concept of a diet is doomed to fail. Why? Diets are based in a temporary mindset. The fact that someone goes on a diet means they will have to come off of the diet. This is temporary…why force yourself to lose 10 pounds when you’re just going to gain it back and then even more when you go off of the diet?
Even though this is a simple concept, some people just don’t understand. In an attempt to fix their weight and health issues many people turn to diets. But they’re not the answer, and they actually create more problems for you. Over an drawn-out period of time habitual dieters will not lose weight, but will have an increase in weight.
My mom gave me the most important nutritional advise of my life. For the most part, my mom was right. My mom didn’t have any knowledge about fat burning, but she fed me really nutritious foods while I was a growing boy.
My Mom wanted the best for me and she knew if I was healthy I would be happier. I’ll bet that your Mom felt the exact same way about you.
My mom always made sure that I ate my green vegetables. She limited sugary stuff and other junk, but didn’t totally eliminate it, making it a special treat for me on occasion. She tried to provide a balance of the different food groups throughout the day.
Thank you, Mom! Mom’s diet was in fact quite sound. I’ve found that heeding some of this advice in the pursuit of maximum fat burning and a lean healthy body for the remainder of your life is a smart way to go.
You see your body naturally craves foods rich in nutrients, (antioxidants, phyto nutrients (plant), fiber, vitamins, minerals, etc.) When you eat most of your meals from foods rich in important nutrients, your body will be satisfied and overeating will no longer be much of a concern.
As a result of eating healthy foods you will go into a fat burning phase as a natural result of giving your body what it thrives on and needs to be healthy. Because you are giving your body what it needs to be healthy you will be promoting natural alkalinity in your body and this will decrease your risk of disease.
When you find that you are eating and eating and never seem satisfied then recognize that this is your body telling you that you are not getting the nutrients that your body needs. These are fast food, foods high in fat, high sugar foods, etc that are low in nutrition. This means you will be taking in too many calories.
Eating too many calories means you will continue to gain weight, get fatter and be more prone to developing diseases related to being overweight. Your body will have an acidic environment, which is an added risk of disease when you gain weight and fat. When this happens, you can just kiss fat burning goodbye.
So nutrition for fat loss, fitness, and health really all do go hand in hand. My Fat Burning Furnace students have changed their lives permanently, by simply altering what they put in their bodies…and you can do it to.
Focus on foods rich in nutrients. Next, I will define a plan that will aid you in transitioning from where you are now to where you want to be. One where your body seemingly burns fat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
One of the essential keys to healthy eating is to eat a variety of foods from all of the food groups regularly and consistently.
