  • How to Lose Pregnancy Weight

    So you just gave birth to a stunning baby boy or girl, how exciting! Hopefully motherhood is amazing and wonderful for you. Other than the new bundle of joy in your life, I bet your wondering how you’re going to get your body back into the shape it was before your pregnancy. It is pretty understandable that you would rather spend your time with your new baby then going to the gym everyday.

    After giving birth, it can be really hard to lose pregnancy fat. You don’t have to sacrifice your time with your new son or daughter to get back into shape. Here are some things you can do to help lose that extra weight without having to sacrifice your precious time with your new baby.

    First things first, you need to watch what you eat. Due to hormones, your body during pregnancy before and after can go through many emotional stress. You will see some changes in your body after childbirth because your hormone levels are trying to get back to the way they were. You will experience all these food cravings because of your change in hormones. Since your not pregnant, you can’t use the excuse your eating for two anymore. To control your cravings, you need to monitor that amount of sugar your taking in and stabilize it. Try eating often throughout the day and eating in small quantities. You are more likely to lose weight if you eat five to six small meals a day instead of the usual 3 large meals we are all so accustomed to.

    Second, breast feeding can help you lose weight too.  There is a really good reason why you gain weight during pregnancy. Your body  needs fat to help you lactate. About 500-700 calories can be burned everyday by breast feeding. A great way to bond with your child is to breast feed plus the added bonus is it’s the most rewarding way to burn calories.

    Third, you can go for a walk in your neighborhood with your new baby. Your neighbors and friends are probably all dying to see your new baby, so instead of having them come to visit you, why not get some exercise and put your child in a stroller and walk all over the neighborhood to show him or her off. Instead of having your friends and neighbors come over, put your baby in the stroller and go for a walk around the block to meet the neighborhood . Going for a walk is a fast exercise for weight loss, it might also help with the stress in being a new mother too.

    Try to remember you  don’t have to rush to lose pregnancy fat fast. Realize that your body has been through an ordeal, take it easy. Lose weight the safe and natural way. Don’t you want to start off motherhood as safe as  you can, for your baby by losing weight safely and naturally . Just be patient and soon you will be able to fit back into your skinny jeans again.
